I am building a barebone. Do I need a CD Rom drive if i have a Blu-Ray reader DVD writer?
Do I need the CD ROM Drive to download the OS?
A Blu-Ray reader / DVD writer combo drive will be able to read BR discs, regular DVD discs, and CDs.
Just keep in mind if you want to use that Blu-Ray drive to play back Blu-Ray movie discs in High Definition, you will also need an HDCP-compliant video card and HDCP-compliant monitor. If any of those pieces are not HDCP-compliant, you are restricted to low-definition playback only.
