I am about to purchase a Dell Latitude D505 with the following specs,

Is this laptop good?? Will it perform fast?
I've got a dell latitude d510 and it's almost identical to a 505.
Mine has been working great for 2 years up until last month or so.
Then I needed to replace the battery and it's falling apart like the keys are coming off and the plug in for the charger isn't working.
It's not very good but that's partially my fault too.
