IBM thinkpad doesn;t charge?

Here's the problem. I know its properly plugged in because it detects the charger and it actually takes power from it, but my batter is stuck at 1% and is not getting charged. The battery indicator light is flashing orange. It's been like this for a few days. Restarting did not help.

Flashing orange means that the battery isn't charging. The battery probably won't hold a charge and needs to be replaced.
