Which is a better gaming laptop-an ATI HD2600(512m) and AMD 66 or a NVIDIA 8600GT(512m) and INTEL 7700 combo?
It's time to buy a gaming laptop and I am buying a card with DirectX10 support. I am a fan of Nvidia cards but also AMD chips. Of course since AMD bought out ATI, they don't go together anymore. Also, on the bonus side, the Intel motherboard has the new N-wireless card while the ATI board only has a/b/g.
Any opinions on which combo is better (faster and/or better video quality? Thanks!
i have the 8600 GT but it's nothing spectacular and it's only for moderate gaming. If you are gonna use it to play current games, go for at least 8700.
