I have a dell inspiron e1505 laptop and the screen is faded?
My boyfriend put a dvd in before the laptop was fully started/loaded and then it seemed like a fuse blew. The screen appears black but if you put a light to the screen you can see basically everything. I just want to know if this will be an easy fix, if anyone else had this problem.. should i get a new laptop..? Its almost 3 years old. Thanks
Assuming you've already tried upping the brightness through the Fn keys, it sounds like your backlight inverter failed. Compared to most laptop repairs, it's not that difficult. Just buy a new inverter and replace it.
