I can't get into my computer. The administrator information was changed?
My young son got into my daughters IBM ThinkPad, loaded with Windows 2000 Professional. Somehow he changed the administrator information and cannot recall, or if he made a password. Is there any way to get past this to get the system to work again. Immediately after start up it goes straight to "administrator log in"
Snoopy, I tried that when we got locked out of our 2000 recently (flipping program error!!) and it got me exactly nowhere. If you know more about that, perhaps you could follow up on it and respond - I saw info that said it's impossible to do that on XP but didn't comment on 2000.

Take it one step at a time and do it when you are fresh in mind and you should be right.
EDIT: I assume you tried using a blank square for the administrator password? It just occurred to me that he may have changed how log on occurs and not changed any passwords. Unless someone has ever set an administrator password, it's probably a blank box that you need.
