I am afraid to walk in my neighborhood because dogs roam without control. The law does nothing.?
Once I had to use pepper spray but I also got it in my own eye and throat. It was awful.
I have seen ultra sound devices on the net that claim to emit a sound that dogs hate and humans don't hear. If you have had any experience with one of these devices please share it with me... effectiveness, and brand.
Just do your normal walks, and don't let the dogs bother you, unless they are trying to cause you harm, show no fear, and just walk......they are probably not interested in you anyway, and they are just out themselves to have a good time,.
to wart off dogs, you can use the electronic device, but I have seen it set dogs off also, some have shown in training not to like the sound only they can hear, and seem to go weird for awhile.
you can try it, but would not use too often, even this is no guarantee the dogs will leave you alone.
call your local DA's office in your city and town and file a complaint, they will direct the complaint to the human society and police department.......there is no sense in you being afraid to walk in your own neighborhood.
let the DA's office know you have called the police and they will do nothing, bet they will once you call this office
good luck....and whatever you do, do not run when you get scared, this will intensify the action of the dog....
