MAC VS PC: Pros and Cons for Windows Laptop and Notebook and iBooks?
I am either getting a laptop or iBook for my Dad's house. I have A Windows XP computer at my mum's and wanted to try out an iBook. My mate has a PC, iBook and iMac and they say it is really good. Can I please have some pros and cons for either of them, I know Macs can install windows xp or vista which I am going to do if I get one but will the Windows on the iBook lag if i get a basic iBook (new but cheap).
Also on a laptop I can guarantee that Adobe After Effects will lag because on my Windows it does and I have a lot of ram (more than what comes with a Laptop). Will it lag on a iBook? I have heard it is extremely powerfull but i want to do a lot of editing and will iBook be a better choice?

Laptops generally have weaker graphics cards which is why your laptop with Windows lags so much when you are editing. Adobe AE isn't lagging because it's on Windows, it's mainly due to a poor graphics card. A new MacBook may run faster mainly because its newer, but the same could be said about a new PC. I strongly suggest you don't get a laptop for editing, they are just too weak compared to desktops. If you still want a laptop, get one with a good graphics card like nVidia GeForce 8500 or better.
