Could I get a better deal for a similar computer, and where?
You know this is a 5kg machine? not very portable, definately a desktop replacement beasty, but compared to the price for adding the same parts on Dells US website atm its excellent value -it kind of looks like theyre asking $3900 USD for what your considering.
There'll be alot of better notebooks for less once more companies start adding 8800m series gfx in their builds and when the 9 series turns up good alternatives aswell.
But if you want to buy sooner you could wait a few weeks for a better offer from them or someone else. Check out the Sager NP5792 at sagernotebook.com and the Alienware Area 51 M15X at alienware.com (not usually known for being affordable tho), and hunt down a Metalbox reseller to see what theyre offering too -Google.
Have a look at the 3D Mark 06 scores on the various notebook gfx http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html
