Lenovo thinkpad hard drive and Windows Vista?
I got my R61 in September of 2007. I filled the 80g hard drive quickly without noticing and bought an external 250 to remedy the issue. After moving all my files (which were a surprising few), I reformatted the hard drive to start fresh. I guess since theres no boot disc and windows is booted from the hard drive that it reformatting, at fresh start, I realized I only had like 15gigs to work with. Does Windows Vista really take up that much space or is there something wrong w/ my computer? If it really does take up that much space, I'm pretty pissed cuz its really buggy too...even religiously downloading the service packs hasn't fixed them all.
I checked disc management and it said that I have a 68GB preload leaving me w/ only 6GB to play with. Am I the only one who has that?
theres nothing wrong with the hard drive try trashing vista and you'll get your space back on your hard drive
