my laptop motherboard bios setup is locked by a password by the company how can i overcome it ? is there a programe to know this password
Toshiba has the BEST Bios security on the planet. Do you know why? There is no default password, like a bunch of Zeros. There is no jumper to use to clear it. You can't pull the CMOS battery, as that will only clear the date and time. The only way to clear the BIOS password, is to send it back to Toshiba. Seriously.
If it was a Dell, you could do it over the phone for $49. If it was a Sony, you could do it over the phone for $250. Since it is a Toshiba, it has to be done at the factory. Also, once you send it back to Toshiba, they will ONLY ship it back to the registered owner of the laptop. This is to keep people who have stolen Toshiba laptops from profiting from their theft. If you steal a Toshiba laptop, and it has a BIOS password, and you send it back to Toshiba to get the password cleared, Toshiba will send it back to the Registered owner, not the thief. Also, only the current registered owner can change the registration.
So, first, you check with "the company" to see if they have this password. Otherwise, if you send it to Toshiba to be cleared, then it will just get shipped back to "the company" after it has been cleared.
No, there is no software that will clear that password.
No, Geek Squad agents don't clear BIOS passwords by shorting two points on EPROM chips mounted on motherboards. They don't do that, because they their company would be liable for replacing the motherboard once it is bricked. Geek Squad employees ship laptops in these cases to Authorized Toshiba repair centers.
