Know where to get free word processing program?

Computers used to come with a word processor built in. After all not all of us just use them for internet. I like to type letters. One can't do that anymore unless you spend $300 dollars for a program. I'm on a fixed income. Does anyone know where to get a free or cheap word processing program? Nothing fancy...MS works is good...I'm used to that.

Open office, Completly Free and Trusted. I would recommend it, it has all the features of Word and probely more.
